The meningococcal vaccine protects against meningococcal disease. Our pharmacists are qualified to administer vaccines against different meningococcal types.
Meningococcal disease is a bacterial infection that can lead to serious illness or even death if left untreated. Early symptoms resemble the flu but can develop and worsen very quickly. The best way to prevent meningococcal disease is vaccination.
This vaccination is not funded for all patients, so a fee may occur for this service.
